Thanksgiving in Big Bear.

I know it’s a little late (about a month late, be specific), but now that all the holiday madness is over, I’ll finally be able to start updating my blog a little more with recent work!  That’s the plan anyway ;)

This year for Thanksgiving, I took a trip with Matt and his awesome family up to Big Bear to stay in a cabin they rented for the holiday.  Despite the fact that it was below twenty degrees during most of our stay, everyone seemed to have a wonderful time exploring the snowy woods around the cabin (it was also VERY enjoyable to thaw out by one of the two fireplaces that constantly had roaring fires going after an expedition).

We ate a ton, relaxed, played pool, and Matt even got his hair cut after 2 years, which, thanks to his cousin Erin turned out perfectly!

(The fake deer freaked Winston out a little bit.. )

Tonight I have a short little engagement shoot to share with you all.

Jessica and Chris have been friends of mine for a couple of years now; they’re an insanely sweet and fun couple to be around.  When they announced their engagement to each other and, the fact that they’re moving up to Seattle at the end of this year, I was excited to arrange a quick little portrait shoot with them while they were down in the area.

Jessica’s little niece tagged along, so I was able to catch a couple photos of her being adorable ;)

I recently had the pleasure of working with my cousin Kevin’s adorable family (which now has one more member as of December 3rd!) . They asked me to get some maternity shots of Bridget and get some portraits of the whole family anticipating the arrival of baby Conor, and I happily agreed.  Other than a few fun shoots here and there with my sister Caitlin, I don’t get to shoot for my family very often, so being able to work with my cousin, his gorgeous fiancee Bridget and her son Jack was a really nice treat for me.

Kevin, thank you for being such a good sport about taking portraits (I know you’re not the biggest fan).  Bridget, you’re already a beautiful mother, and I can’t wait to see you as a new mother again with baby Conor (you’re obviously already great at it, seeing how awesome Jack is).  And Mr. Jack, I had tons of fun playing on the playground with you and your light saber – I hope you weren’t too disappointed about having to hang out with a girl for the afternoon ;)

Minerva and Juan 11/4/10

Today I would like to bring to you all the wedding of Minerva and Juan Arias.  An intimate ceremony at St. Bruno’s Church in Uptown Whittier, followed by a lively celebration at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Garden Walk in Anaheim made for an incredibly eventful day.  And if all that wasn’t enough, a behind the scenes Disneyland fireworks show was in order for the guests right after dinner!

Minerva and Juan, I was honored to have been able to share your special day with you both, and I hope you both have a happy and loving marriage for the rest of your lives.

And now, the photos!
