1.6 John and Junie’s Wedding; My first photo booth experience.

February 6, 2012 | Post a Comment

Jeannie’s sister got married one month ago today! In order to celebrate, here are a few of my favorite photo booth photos I took!

Note: This was my first time operating a photo booth at a wedding. It was a LOT of fun! I knew I could expect amazing hilariousness from Jeannie and Junie’s awesome family, and I was right. I went home that night with a stomach sore from laughing and a camera full of silly images and being thrown into the mix myself. :)

This is my cousin Phillip. He attended the wedding with his wife, Nicole. They are both excruciatingly awesome. ;)

Sexy lady moustaches, anyone?

The loverly Jeannie and her love, Rob.

Junie, you are so gorgeous! <3

As aforementioned, they threw me into the booth a couple of times as well. I relented and went for it. :)

From the Holidays.

Here are some photos from the holidays! Christmas and New Year’s to be exact. Unfortunately, with all the craziness that the holidays are known for, I didn’t end up taking an incredible amount of images.. I am happy with what I did get, though! Hope you guys like them too. :)

Everyone is a little sleepy at first on Christmas morning. ;)

San Francisco views. <3

Matt’s little sister Lindsay and her boyfriend Devon are very adorable together. :) Thank you again for letting us stay at your place for New Year’s and everything else you did for us, Lindsay! <3

Softballin’.

Hello everyone :)  Hope you all enjoyed your holidays and are adjusting to getting back to school/work easily in the new year!

Just wanted to put up a quick, cute Sunday post.  Matt and I hung out at a family friends’ first softball game awhile back and I happened to have my camera on me.  So, naturally, I started snapping away as soon as the kids started being adorable ;)

Mark and Sam’s wedding was by far one of the most relaxed weddings I’ve ever shot at.  Another that I tagged along with the ever talented Jeannie Mutrias :)  We had a blast working with Mark and Sam on a beautiful golf course, and got tons and tons of laughs (along with the guests!) watching the little ring bearer amuse himself throughout the event.

(We got to drive our own golf cart!  It was SCARY but Jeannie and I laughed our butts off the whole way.)

The little guy who bore Mark and Sam’s rings ended up helping me take my favorite photo (bottom image) I’ve ever taken out of sheer hilariousness :)

William and Sara 10.15.11

William and Sara are a couple after my own heart.  They were silly, loved to laugh, make each other laugh, and hi-fived every chance they had.  They were a blast to work with!  I got to work with lovely people, and witness a wonderful wedding at The Hacienda in Santa Ana; two of the many perks to being a photographer ;)

Albert made a little buddy :)

William and Sara are sexy beasts ;)

Marco and Rocio 9.24.11.

It’s been a little too long since my last post.. I’ve been so busy lately that it’s hard to find a chance to sit down and construct a full blog entry.  Now that I’m starting to catch up on my work though, there will be many a-post coming up in the foreseeable future ;)

Marco and Rocio were married at an awesome little venue in the middle of Hesperia with a first-class view of the rolling hills.  The ceremony took place in what looked like a shady orchard, surrounded by apple and peach trees (which Rocio and I enjoyed during our first client meeting).  After the ceremony, we found the perfect spot for a majority of my favorite pictures from this wedding on top of the venue’s property.

Beautiful couple, beautiful venue.. What more could ya ask for on a clear, sunny day in the middle of Hesperia?

And of course, with fun people come fun faces :)

Also, huge shout-out to Seth of Seth DeDoes Photography for coming along and second shooting with me.  Thank you again, Seth!  You helped me out soo much :)

Back again with another amazing wedding for you all to put your peepers on!  Another great day spent with the fantasic Jeannie Mutrias, an awesome couple, and all their friends and family.

Chris and Claire were an absolute blast to work with.  All smiles, laughs and some gnarly faces thrown in here and there throughout the day.  I went home that night with sore sides from laughing with them so much :)

Before I get into the photos, I just wanted to point out something that struck me as very awesome and very brave.  Claire took the time to hand-make every single one of her brides maids dresses.  There are five brides maids.  Pretty crazy cool, right?  Well, she didn’t only make all five brides maids dresses.. she made her own wedding dress too!  I was blown away by how much time, care and love she put into every detail of her wedding.  I’ve got mad respect for you, miss lady!  Not to mention that everything turned out perfect.

And of course.. RIDICULOUS FACES :D

The Inn at Fawnskin.

My cousin Kevin and his AWESOME fiance Bridget (who’s lovely faces have been on my blog two times before this post!) got married up in Big Bear at the Inn at Fawnskin last month.  I don’t often get to attend weddings as a guest, so I took complete advantage of being able to capture my cousin’s wedding from a guest’s perspective.

The Inn at Fawnskin was a tiny little cottage in the midst of hundreds of trees stretching up towards the sky.  We were able to enjoy the greenery, blue skies, dappled light, and perfect temperature on the day of Kevin and Bridget’s wedding.  I even got to see Jeannie hard at work too!  Which was strange since I’m normally shooting weddings with her, instead of visiting with other guests and drinking wine.

A fun, intimate little wedding with my little family, welcoming another member officially into the clan; as far as I’m concerned, Bridget has been a part of our family since the first time she came to dinner at my parent’s house :)  congrats again, you guys!

My mom got a few shots of Matt and I, which I’m thrilled with :)

Grandma on the left, Mutti (our mom is called Mutti) on the right

I freaking ADORE baby Conor.  And his big brother Jack :)  cutest little guys ever!

Not sure if you guys know my dad, Fabs (our mom is called Mutti, our dad is Fabs.  Family weirdness, but our parents love us anyway).

And now that you guys all know what most of my family members look like, you can shout at them if you happen to recognize them walking down the street ;)  Tell them they looked supah hot on my blog!

Chris and Miranda, I can’t possibly say enough nice things about them, their family, their friends, and their beautiful backyard wedding celebration.  They were an awesome, beautiful couple to work with!  Their guests were friendly and had a wonderful time laughing, visiting and celebrating.  Not to mention, their two children were absolutely gorgeous.  I had a field day capturing their happiness on their parents’ big day.

It’s easy to see what a huge success their celebration turned out to be.  See for yourself :)

Cory and Jessica 6.11.11

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity of shooting a wedding very close to home – right in the heart of downtown Long Beach!  Cory and Jessica are a lovely, wonderful couple who were a blast to work with, and the scenery made a beautiful backdrop.  Not only did we (by we I of course mean the talented Jeannie Mutrias [http://www.jeanniemutrias.com/] and myself) have a gorgeous background, but the weather was perfect too!  I happily kicked off my shoes for just about all of the shots we got on the beach :)

The guests were friendly, the food and dessert smelled like heaven, and Cory and Jessica’s wedding unfolded all day long as a lovely event.
