Chris and Miranda 7.9.11

Chris and Miranda, I can’t possibly say enough nice things about them, their family, their friends, and their beautiful backyard wedding celebration.  They were an awesome, beautiful couple to work with!  Their guests were friendly and had a wonderful time laughing, visiting and celebrating.  Not to mention, their two children were absolutely gorgeous.  I had a field day capturing their happiness on their parents’ big day.

It’s easy to see what a huge success their celebration turned out to be.  See for yourself :)

Cory and Jessica 6.11.11

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity of shooting a wedding very close to home – right in the heart of downtown Long Beach!  Cory and Jessica are a lovely, wonderful couple who were a blast to work with, and the scenery made a beautiful backdrop.  Not only did we (by we I of course mean the talented Jeannie Mutrias [http://www.jeanniemutrias.com/] and myself) have a gorgeous background, but the weather was perfect too!  I happily kicked off my shoes for just about all of the shots we got on the beach :)

The guests were friendly, the food and dessert smelled like heaven, and Cory and Jessica’s wedding unfolded all day long as a lovely event.

Bret and Lulu.

A few weeks ago I drove out to Riverside for a maternity / baby shower details shoot.  This is where I met Bret and Lulu, who had traveled all the way from Las Vegas to visit family, enjoy the lovely California weather, and celebrate the fast approaching arrival of their son.

Bret and Lulu were sweet as can be and tons of fun to work with.  They were comfortable in front of the camera, and their excitement about their son was apparent.  I suppose I can let the photos speak for themselves at this point..

Adorable little pre-babyshower jump-tent party in here :)

Just another Saturday night.

A couple of weeks ago Matt and I walked four blocks to our new neighbor’s apartment to hang out.  Albert is not a new friend, but now that we live in Long Beach we’re officially all neighbors, and that makes it incredibly convenient when we all want to get together for a Saturday evening.

Naturally, I brought my camera to the event and snapped a couple of pics throughout the night.  Since today is Friday, perhaps this will get you all in the mood for a fun, relaxed Saturday tomorrow :)

Maegan and Ross Harms 3.5.11

Back so soon?  Yes I am!  :)  I’m pretty dang excited to share this wedding with you all, seeing as how it’s one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot to this day!  Another winner shot along side the ever talented Jeannie Mutrias.

Maegan and Ross were married on March 5th, 2011 at the White House Restaurant in Anaheim.  Everything about this wedding was gorgeous; the bridge, groom and their adorable son, the decorations, as well as all of the emotions being expressed throughout the day.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves from here.

Bernie and Mike O’Connor 2.19.11

Hello again.

I’d like to present the first of two recent weddings I shot with Miss Jeannie (http://www.jeanniemutrais.com/).

Bernie and Mike O’Connor were wed on February 19th at the First Presbyterian Church of Anaheim (the church looked like a castle!).  Bernie and Mike were both insanely nice and had awesome senses of humor.  Mike’s dad enjoyed trying to scare all of the girls throughout the day by touching the tops of their heads whenever he could.  I could see exactly where Mike got his sense of humor from!

I had such a blast shooting with Jeannie and getting a chance to hang out with Bernie, Mike, and all of their friends and family.  It was so lovely to meet and have the opportunity to work with you all :)

Now for photos!

Mike’s Birthday!

March 26, 2011 | Post a Comment

Every once in awhile I’m asked to photograph an event.  Weddings and children’s portraits are by far my favorite things to shoot, but whenever I’m asked to photograph a birthday party I’m more than happy to agree.

Last year I shot Mike Limon’s graduation party at the popular mexican restaurant El Cholo – Mike’s entire family and all his friends showed up and everyone had a great time celebrating.

This year Mike asked me to shoot his birthday party in the same room he celebrated his graduation party at the same restaurant.  Naturally, I said yes.  I was even allowed to introduce my first prop into the mix!  I hope you all enjoy the photos from Mike’s 27th birthday party :)

Christmas Eve / Day

January 12, 2011 | Post a Comment

Christmas this year was a number of events all mashed together between two days.

Christmas eve started the festivities off at my mother’s parent’s house when, after work, all the aunts, uncles and cousins all head over to partake in dinner and present opening madness.  The morning following (Christmas day in real time) starts off with Santa presents, laid out by the fireplace at home.  Next to visit is my father’s parent’s house for breakfast and more partaking in presents.  Then I went to Matt’s family’s house for 2nd breakfast and Santa gifts/family presents, leading into lunch with Matt’s grandparents.  Finally, dinner back at home with all sides of my family, and Matt :)

Christmas was a little wild this year.  All craziness aside though, it was very enjoyable, and I was able to capture a few memorable images from all of the places I visited throughout the holiday.

(There are two ways to enjoy Christmas, as shown above)

Thanksgiving in Big Bear.

I know it’s a little late (about a month late, be specific), but now that all the holiday madness is over, I’ll finally be able to start updating my blog a little more with recent work!  That’s the plan anyway ;)

This year for Thanksgiving, I took a trip with Matt and his awesome family up to Big Bear to stay in a cabin they rented for the holiday.  Despite the fact that it was below twenty degrees during most of our stay, everyone seemed to have a wonderful time exploring the snowy woods around the cabin (it was also VERY enjoyable to thaw out by one of the two fireplaces that constantly had roaring fires going after an expedition).

We ate a ton, relaxed, played pool, and Matt even got his hair cut after 2 years, which, thanks to his cousin Erin turned out perfectly!

(The fake deer freaked Winston out a little bit.. )

(A rare photo caught of me)

Minerva and Juan 11/4/10

December 8, 2010 | Post a Comment

Today I would like to bring to you all the wedding of Minerva and Juan Arias.  An intimate ceremony at St. Bruno’s Church in Uptown Whittier, followed by a lively celebration at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Garden Walk in Anaheim made for an incredibly eventful day.  And if all that wasn’t enough, a behind the scenes Disneyland fireworks show was in order for the guests right after dinner!

Minerva and Juan, I was honored to have been able to share your special day with you both, and I hope you both have a happy and loving marriage for the rest of your lives.

And now, the photos!
