Everyone has that best friend growing up 4 houses down the street who you end up spending most of your childhood with.  For me, this person was Melinda.  Melinda has been going to school at UC Riverside to get her BA in creative writing – a thing she’s stuck with since we were about 13 years old.  Most of our time back then was spent sitting in my room writing pages of stories so that we could trade after.  These are some of my favorite memories :)

Sometimes life takes us in different directions, and now a days Melinda and I don’t get to see each other much.  So, when she gave me the heads up that she wanted me to shoot her graduation portraits, I was ecstatic!  We had a blast catching up and she was a breeze to shoot.

Melinda: I’m so proud of you for going so far with your writing – the one thing I’ve always seen you most passionate about.  It’s pretty crazy to have seen you grow up into the confident writer I always knew you’d become.  I know you’ll be successful in your career, and you’ll love every second of it!  I hope we have a chance to see each other soon :)
