Road Trip part 1 : Mono Lake

Hi again, all!
I have some photos to share with you all from a road trip I took with the extremely talented Jeannie Muritas (http://www.jeanniemutrais.com/ – go check her out!) following my time spent in San Francisco.
Jeannie was nice enough to drive all the way up from Orange County to San Francisco to pick me up to go on a three day road trip to.. well, we weren’t quite sure where exactly we were going at first. I ended up mentioning Yosemite, since it was only 6 hours east, and as it turned out neither of us had ever been there, so that’s where we headed.
The first day of our trip took us to Mono Lake, possibly one of the oldest lakes in Northern America, and there I managed to get a number of photos to share with you all today.

Beautiful….I hear Mono Lake is like being on another planet, it’s so eerily beautiful.

Your pictures are beautiful. It has been years since we went to Mono Lake. Looks like there is more water now. You have a great eye for composition.

I can’t pick a favorite out of all of these, each one has a special something… from the pine cone at the start, the orange leaves, the telephone pole splitting the picture perfectly in half…it makes me want to take out all the pictures in our house and start hanging your photos everywhere! I want the trail picture though for El Cholo… I’m going to hang it on the wall leading towards the bathrooms

I WILL say, the birds in the water, where everything is gray is one of my favs…. eerie and peaceful at the same time. I might have to frame that one.
